holistic health consultations
During the initial visit we will discuss your health history thoroughly and address any areas where you are seeking healing, whether, physical, spiritual, emotional or other ailments. After a detailed intake and assessment has been made we will begin working with custom tailored herbal formulas. Recommendations for nutritional, lifestyle and spiritual modifications may be made and we will also, begin Reiki attunements with flower essences and crystal therapy on acupuncture points. Additional, modalities such as dream-work, medical astrology, and tarot will be utilized to bring each client into greater alignment with their highest, healthiest self.
herbalism
During a clinical herbalism session we will completely review your health history and address any areas where you are seeking healing. After a detailed intake and assessment has been made, you will be given recommendations for diet, nutrition and lifestyle modifications, as well as an herbal protocol to follow. Follow up appointments are typically scheduled one week after the initial intake to discuss the plan and any thing else that comes up since our first meeting. Many clients find that during this week they remember, dream or have revelatory “a-ha” moments related to what they are trying to heal. After you have been given a plan and protocol, we will figure out a schedule of follow-up appointments best suited to your case spaced at 4-6 week, 3 month, or 6 month intervals. My approach is based primarily in the Western Vitalist tradition with a strong emphasis on bio-regional herbalism, plant spirit medicine and medical astrology. Additionally, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and many other traditions inform my practice.
Flower Essence Session
Flower essences are vibrational medicines that carry the unique energetic healing imprint of each individual flower, the flower being the creative culmination and utmost expression of a plants spirit By shifting our energetic bodies they can have a profound effect on our way of interacting with the world, our viewpoints, and the structures of our life. Useful for transforming long held patterns, deeply entrenched beliefs and during major life transitions or crises, these gentle remedies reweave our etheric fields . Each session will begin and end with an energetic clearing. You will have time to tell the story of who you were, who you are and who you are becoming. Matching commonalities in your story up to those of particular flower essences and Chinese meridian points, you will receive a treatment where flower essences are applied to specific parts of the body. You will also be given either a custom blended flower essence or suggestions for flower essences to begin working with.
Reiki
Reiki is a type of energy healing where universal life force energy is channeled through the hands to the person receiving it following a set series of hand placements and symbols. This process is called an attunement and involves either light touch or hands hovering over the body. During an attunement you may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, energy flowing through the body or see light that is white, gold, or colorful. You may not have any physical sensations and that is normal too. Some will simply feel deeply relaxed or may fall asleep. Reiki teachings were channeled and rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s in Japan following Shugendo spiritual practice. Reiki can also be done via distance attunement.
Astrology
Beyond the simple sun sign astrology most people are familiar with, lies an ancient and vast system for interpreting the inclinations of a soul in which planetary positions are calculated for your time, place and date of birth. The planets, signs, houses and aspects between each provide guidance for our souls evolution during this time on earth. A natal chart reading can help you understand your unique place in the world, how you can best release and work thru internal resistance, and point to career and love desires held within. The solar return chart is a predictive birthday chart calculated each year when the sun returns to the exact degree of the zodiac it was at our birth. The positions of the planets during the solar return provide a window into the influence of the coming year. A synastry reading is a relationship chart drawn up of two individual birth charts to determine how two people relate to each other. Typically done for couples, business partners, between parent and child , or two friends. Lastly, I offer interpretation of current planetary transits against the backdrop of your natal chart. The transit chart shows both short and longer term planetary influences that will predominate in your life.
Tarot
Using multiple tarot and oracle decks, tarot readings consist of a I-3 card pull, Celtic cross, two-path, wheel of the year, or an intuitive custom spread. You will be given space to share an account of what is going on in your life, a dilemma you are facing, or ask a particular question. Working with traditional, herbal and astrological mandala tarot cards, you will be guided to specific herbs and archetypes to help you along your path.
Dreamwork
Dream work is the process of working a dream for greater understanding, insight and personal development. Dreams serve as potent messengers from our psyche and from the spirit realms to help us individually and collectively. We will explore the diverse images and emotions that a dream presents on multiple levels while examining the multi-faceted meanings evoked. Each and every person has their own unique dream language and we will delve into this personal language as it relates to the environment of your life.
Crystal Therapy
Some of the oldest medicine known to human kind has been the work of crystals and stones. Across cultures, we have worked with these powerful beings that form deep within the earth over long periods of time. Helping to ground permanence in healing and stabilize intentions at a deep level, crystal therapy lends solidity and density to the innermost gems of our being. Crystal healing involves placing crystals and minerals on or around the body, either singly or in patterns, on sites of pain, meridian points, or over chakras, with specific crystals having therapeutic affinities each treatment is customized to the client. Additionally, work with gem elixirs on meridian points and for home use will also be added to the treatment.
