Violette Olympia

Violette is an herbalist and reiki master with a clinical practice based in NYC. In 2013, she founded the Center for Magic + Healing which offers holistic healing combining plant spirit medicine, reiki, dreamwork, tarot, astrology, flower essences and crystal therapy. She holds certificates in Green Medicine Herbalism from the NY Open Center under herbalists Peeka Trenkle, David Winston and Drew DiVattorio; Usui Reiki to the Master Level from Melissa Crowhurst and Permaculture Design from Claudia Joseph of the NY Permaculture Group. She has studied ethnobotany, botanical latin, tree identification, Chinese meridian diagnostics, crystal therapeutics, homeopathy, and flower essences. In 2017, she completed a month long self study of Ayurveda in India, including a week long stay at an Ayurvedic Ashram. She grew up foraging wild berries, pecans, and meditating with plants. In these explorations a naturalists bent developed alongside an interest in the spiritual realm. At a young age, she dreamt of energetic colorful light orbs emerging from a primordial darkness which galvanized a life-long interest in the dreamworld and dreamwork. Her mother introduced her to tarot and astrology as a teenager and she has been practicing both for over 20 years. This practice informs her approach to healing with it’s rich language of symbolism, archetypes and ancient lineage of medical astrology.

Following a career as a dancer, she worked in the horticultural field for 8 years where she designed, installed and maintained gardens, managed a garden center, taught educational workshops and strengthened many people’s connections with plants and the earth. An avid gardener she grows medicinal herbs and creates small batch herbal remedies following cosmic planetary rhythms.
